Not a lot of people would find interest in the life of a group of ducks living in a polluted dam in a suburban area. These are Domestic ducks; which are very territorial, and Dabblers; which are scared of anything that moves expect for other birds. Like any living being including humans, ducks live monotonous lives from the morning until the sun sets down. Although they show a high degree of hybridization with other domestic and wild birds, Domestic ducks mostly find themselves in conflict situations fighting with the Dabblers as they are bigger in size. This here is a dirty dam in Westdene (Auckland-park in Johannesburg). These birds find survival in this area despite the unfortunate living conditions. However, clearly it is not difficult at all for these creatures to resolve their issues and continue to live peacefully around one another before the sun goes down... One day is the same as the next.
